1. Park your car in a safe location and turn off the engine. Allow the engine to cool down.
2. Open the hood of your car.
3. Locate the number 1 coil pack. It is located on the front of the engine, near the top. It is the coil pack closest to the radiator.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the coil pack. Press down on the release tab and pull the connector straight up.
5. Remove the bolt that holds the coil pack in place. You will need a 10mm wrench for this.
6. Lift the coil pack straight up and out of its socket. Be careful not to drop the coil pack.
7. Inspect the coil pack for damage. If the coil pack is cracked or damaged, it will need to be replaced.
8. Install the new coil pack. Place the new coil pack in the socket and press down until it clicks into place.
9. Reinstall the bolt that holds the coil pack in place.
10. Reconnect the electrical connector to the coil pack.
11. Close the hood of your car.
12. Start your car and test the engine.
