* A spark plug wire removal tool (available at most auto parts stores)
* A flat-head screwdriver
* A pair of pliers
* A can of WD-40
* A shop rag
2. Prepare the spark plugs. Disconnect the negative battery cable. This will prevent you from accidentally getting shocked while you are working.
3. Locate the spark plug wires. The spark plug wires are the thick, rubbery cables that connect the spark plugs to the distributor.
4. Apply WD-40 to the spark plug wires. Spray a little WD-40 on each spark plug wire, near the point where it connects to the spark plug. This will help to loosen the wires and make them easier to remove.
5. Wait a few minutes. Allow the WD-40 to penetrate the spark plug wires for a few minutes.
6. Use the spark plug wire removal tool to remove the wires. Place the spark plug wire removal tool over the end of the spark plug wire and squeeze the handles. This will release the wire from the spark plug.
7. Repeat steps 4-6 for each spark plug wire.
8. Reconnect the negative battery cable. Once you have removed all of the spark plug wires, you can reconnect the negative battery cable.
9. Test the engine. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. This will allow the engine to adjust to the new spark plugs and wires.
Tips:
* Be careful not to pull on the spark plug wires too hard. This could damage the wires or the spark plugs.
* If the spark plug wires are still stuck, you can try using a penetrating oil or solvent.
* If you are still having trouble removing the spark plug wires, you may need to take your car to a mechanic.
