1. Open the hood of your vehicle.
2. Locate the air filter housing, which is usually a rectangular box located on the top or side of the engine. It may be covered by a plastic cover.
3. Unlatch and remove the cover of the air filter housing.
4. Pull out the old air filter.
5. Inspect the air filter for dirt and debris. If it is dirty, replace it with a new one.
6. Reinstall the cover of the air filter housing.
