Instructions
1. Allow the engine to fully cool.
2. Remove the four 10mm bolts holding the decorative engine cover in place. Lift the cover off to access the spark plug wires.
3. Using the spark plug socket and a 3/8 inch ratchet, remove the coil packs off the spark plugs. Set them aside.
4. Carefully remove the old spark plugs. Be sure not to drop anything down into the spark plug tube.
5. Using the spark plug gap gauge, set the gap on the new spark plugs to .044.
6. Screw in the new spark plugs finger-tight.
7. Tighten the spark plugs to 22 ft-lbs.
8. Replace the coil packs.
9. Replace the engine cover and bolts.
10. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes to ensure that the spark plugs are properly seated.
Tips
* When removing the spark plug wires, be careful not to pull on the wires themselves. This can damage them.
* It is a good idea to replace all of the spark plugs at the same time. This will ensure that all of them are in good condition and will help to prevent engine problems down the road.
