1. Start by opening the hood of the car.
2. Locate the transmission fluid dipstick. It is usually located near the back of the engine, on the driver’s side.
3. Pull out the dipstick and wipe it clean with a rag.
4. Reinsert the dipstick into the transmission fluid tube until it is seated all the way.
5. Pull the dipstick out again and check the fluid level. It should be between the "FULL" and "ADD" marks on the dipstick.
6. If the fluid level is low, add enough fluid to bring it up to the "FULL" mark.
7. Reinsert the dipstick and replace the cap.
