Here are the steps on how to remove the EGR valve:
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the air intake hose from the throttle body.
3. Remove the two bolts that hold the EGR valve to the intake manifold.
4. Lift the EGR valve off the intake manifold.
5. Clean the EGR valve and its gasket with a suitable cleaner.
6. Reinstall the EGR valve and gasket in the reverse order of removal.
7. Tighten the bolts until they are snug.
8. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
