- Wrench set

- Ball joint separator

- Jack and jack stands
Instructions:
1) Park the truck on a level surface and apply the parking brake.
2) Raise the front of the truck with a jack and support it on jack stands.
3) Remove the front wheels.
4) Locate the upper control arm bushing bolts on the upper control arm. These are typically two bolts on each side of the upper control arm.
5) Loosen the upper ball joint nut but don't remove it completely.
6) Use a pickle fork or ball joint to separate the upper ball joint from the steering knuckle.
7) Remove the upper control arm bushing bolts.
8) Pry the old upper control arm bushings out with a pry bar.
9) Install the new upper control arm bushings by pressing them into place with your hands or a pry bar.
10) Reinstall the upper ball joint and torque the nut to the proper specification.
11) Reinstall the upper control arm bushing bolts and torque them to the proper specification.
12) Reinstall the front wheels.
13) Lower the truck off the jack stands.
