How do you put half -shaft in a 2002 Nissan Sentra gxe?

To replace the half-shaft on a 2002 Nissan Sentra GXE, follow these steps:

1. Park the vehicle on a level surface and apply the parking brake.

2. Loosen the lug nuts on the front wheels but do not remove them.

3. Raise the vehicle using a jack and jack stands or ramps to support it securely.

4. Remove the front wheels.

5. Remove the lower control arm ball joint from the steering knuckle using a ball-joint remover.

6. Remove the nuts that secure the half-shaft to the hub assembly and pull the half-shaft out of the hub.

7. Remove the bolts that secure the half-shaft to the transmission.

8. Slide the half-shaft out of the transmission.

9. Install the new half-shaft into the transmission and secure it with the bolts.

10. Slide the half-shaft into the hub assembly and secure it with the nuts.

11. Reattach the lower control arm ball joint to the steering knuckle.

12. Reinstall the front wheels and lower the vehicle.

13. Tighten the lug nuts to the factory-specified torque.

* It is recommended that half shafts be replaced in pairs.
