How do you release the hood on a 1997 Nissan Quest when cable breaks?
1. Insert a flat-head screwdriver into the small gap between the grille and the hood next to the latch release lever (directly below the Nissan badge on the grille).
2. Push the screwdriver inward and upward to release the spring holding the release lever.
3. Reach into the engine bay and pull the hood release lever to release the hood latch.
