1992 Toyota estima where would you find the frost plug?

1992 Toyota Estima:

NOTE: The frost plugs are located on the block at the front and rear of the engine. They are difficult to reach and may require the removal of some components to access.

Front Frost Plugs:

1. Remove the camshaft drive belts.

2. Remove the idler pulley bracket using a 14 mm wrench.

3. If necessary, remove the fan.

4. Remove the water pump pulley. This may require the use of an impact wrench.

5. Remove the timing belt covers in order to access the front freeze plugs.

6. Remove the frost plugs using a suitable tool.

Rear Frost Plugs:

1. Remove the valve covers.

2. Remove the intake and exhaust manifolds.

3. Remove the oil filter.

4. Drain the coolant.

5. Remove the starter.

6. Remove the oil pan.

7. The rear freeze plugs are now visible and can be removed using a suitable tool.

NOTE: When replacing the frost plugs, be sure to use new gaskets and sealant. Tighten the frost plugs to the specified torque.
