1. Purchase the right Freon. You will need to purchase the correct type of Freon for your Toyota Solara. The correct type of Freon is listed in your owner's manual.
2. Locate the Freon port. The Freon port is usually located on the side of the compressor. It is a small port with a cap on it.
3. Attach the Freon can to the port. Screw the Freon can onto the port until it is tight.
4. Open the Freon can. There is a small valve on the Freon can. Open the valve by turning it counterclockwise.
5. Press the Freon into the system. Press the Freon can until the pressure in the system reaches the desired level. The desired pressure level is listed in your owner's manual.
6. Close the Freon can. Once the desired pressure level has been reached, close the Freon can by turning the valve clockwise.
7. Remove the Freon can from the port. Unscrew the Freon can from the port.
Note: If you are not comfortable adding Freon to your Toyota Solara yourself, you can take your car to a mechanic to have it done.
