Where is the oxygen sensor on 1997 Hyundai Elantra?
There are two oxygen sensors for the 1997 Hyundai Elantra. The upstream oxygen sensor (closest to the engine) is located on the exhaust manifold, and the downstream oxygen sensor (furthest from the engine) is located in the exhaust pipe between the catalytic converter and the muffler. Both oxygen sensors are equipped with a wiring harness that connects them to the engine control module (ECM).
