What colors did the first cars come in?

The first automobiles were not available in a wide variety of colors. Early cars were typically black, as black paint dried the fastest and was the most durable. Additionally, black was seen as a practical and elegant color for vehicles at the time. Other early colors included dark blue, dark green, and occasionally red. It was not until the early 1920s that a wider range of colors became available for car buyers.
