2. Locate the turn signal flasher. The flasher is typically located under the dashboard, either above or below the steering column. It may be difficult to reach or see, especially if your truck has a full-sized spare tire mounted underneath the rear of the cabin.
3. Look for a black plastic cover with two or three wires connected to it.
4. Use a screwdriver to remove the flashlight's terminal screws. Be careful not to drop the screws.
5. Pull the flashlight out of its socket.
6. Inspect the flashlight for any damage. If the flasher is damaged, you will need to replace it.
7. Install the new flasher by inserting it into the socket and reattaching the terminal screws.
8. Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position to test the flasher. The turn signals should now be working properly.
