Where is the air filter on a 1998 Chevy Metro?

1. Open the hood of the car.

2. Locate the black, rectangular plastic air cleaner housing. It is located near the top and the back of the engine compartment.

3. Unclip release tab on the air filter housing.

4. Open the air filter housing by lifting it up and away from the base.

5. Replace the air filter with a new one. Make sure that the new filter is seated properly in the housing.

6. Replace the air cleaner housing and close the hood of the car.
