Can you secure a car battery with bungee cord?

It is not advisable to secure a car battery with a bungee cord. Car batteries are heavy and can easily damage or injure someone if they come loose. Also, the vibrations of the car could cause the bungee cord to snap, which would then allow the battery to come loose. A proper battery hold-down bracket should be used instead to ensure that the battery is securely fastened in place.
