Where is the egr system on a 1997 Ford Ranger?

1. Locate the throttle body. It is located on the front of the engine, just below the air filter housing.

2. Follow the vacuum hose from the throttle body to the EGR valve. The EGR valve is located on the side of the engine, near the exhaust manifold.

3. The EGR system also includes an EGR solenoid, which is located near the EGR valve. The EGR solenoid controls the flow of vacuum to the EGR valve.
