To replace the battery air filter on a Ford Escape Hybrid, follow these steps:

1. Park your vehicle in a level spot and turn off the engine.

2. Open the hood of your vehicle.

3. Locate the battery air filter housing. It is usually a black plastic box located near the battery.

4. Unlatch the air filter housing cover and remove it.

5. Remove the old air filter.

6. Inspect the air filter for dirt and debris. If it is excessively dirty, replace it with a new one.

7. Install the new air filter in the air filter housing.

8. Reattach the air filter housing cover and latch it securely.

9. Close the hood of your vehicle.

Your battery air filter should be replaced every 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first.
