Where is the transmission dipstick at on a automatic 1989 Honda civic dx 4dr sedan?

The 1989 Honda Civic DX 4dr sedan does not have an automatic transmission dipstick. Instead, it has a filler plug which is located on the side of the transmission case, near the bottom. The transmission fluid level is checked by observing the level of fluid visible through a small inspection window on the side of the transmission case. The window is located below the filler plug. The transmission fluid should be between the "Full" and "Low" marks on the window when the transmission is in "Park" and the engine is running.
