Dex-cool is a brand of extended life coolant manufactured by General Motors. It is used in all GM vehicles since the 1990s. Dex-cool is a ethylene glycol-based coolant with special additives to prevent corrosion and scale buildup. It also contains a dye that makes it easy to see if the coolant level is low.
