1. Disconnect the battery. This will prevent any electrical shock from occurring while you are working on the heater core.
2. Drain the coolant from the radiator. This will make it easier to remove the heater core without spilling coolant everywhere.
3. Remove the heater hoses. There are two heater hoses that connect the heater core to the engine. Use a wrench to loosen the hose clamps and then remove the hoses.
4. Remove the heater core cover. The heater core cover is located behind the glove box. Use a screwdriver to remove the screws that hold the cover in place and then remove the cover.
5. Remove the heater core. The heater core is located behind the heater core cover. Use a wrench to loosen the nuts that hold the heater core in place and then remove the heater core.
6. Install the new heater core. Place the new heater core in position and then tighten the nuts that hold it in place.
7. Replace the heater core cover. Replace the heater core cover and then secure it in place with the screws.
8. Reconnect the heater hoses. Connect the heater hoses to the heater core and then tighten the hose clamps.
9. Reinstall the coolant. Refill the radiator with coolant and then start the engine. Let the engine run for a few minutes to circulate the coolant.
10. Check for leaks. Once the engine has cooled down, check for any leaks around the heater core. If there are any leaks, tighten the hose clamps or replace the heater core.

* Make sure that you have all of the necessary tools before you begin this repair.
* If you are uncomfortable working on your own car, you can take it to a mechanic to have the heater core replaced.
* Be careful not to spill any coolant on the floor. Coolant is poisonous if ingested.
