Can you put r404a into an air conditioner designed for r410a?

It is not recommended to put r404a into an air conditioner designed for r410a. R404a and R410a are different refrigerants with different properties. R404a is a blend of HFC-125, HFC-134a, and HFC-143a, while R410a is a blend of HFC-32 and HFC-125. R404a has a higher global warming potential (GWP) than R410a. R410a is also a higher pressure refrigerant, so it would not be safe to use in an air conditioner designed for R404a.
