1. Locate the hood release lever inside the vehicle. It is usually a small, black or gray plastic lever located on the driver's side footwell, near the door sill.
2. Pull the hood release lever all the way up to release the hood.
3. Go to the front of the vehicle and locate the secondary hood release latch. It is usually a small, black plastic tab located in the center of the hood, just below the windshield.
4. Press down on the secondary hood release latch to fully release the hood.
5. Lift up on the hood to open it.
