How do you remove the rear number plate on a VW Transporter T5?

To remove the rear number plate on a VW Transporter T5, follow these steps:

Materials needed:

• Flathead screwdriver

• Phillips head screwdriver or drill

Instructions:

Step 1: Open the rear gate of your VW Transporter T5

Step 2:Locate the two screws which hold the licence plate.

They are in recessed hexagonal bolts at the bottom end underneath the number plate

Step 3: Use a flathead screwdriver to pry loose the plastic covers which conceal the screw-heads

Step 4: Use a a Phillips head screwdriver (PZ2) to loosen and turn (anti-clockwise) both screws completely out from the plate

Step 5: Carefully pull upwards to unclip and free the licence plate bracket at the top

Step 6: Remove your car’s licence plate from the plastic housing by lifting upwards until fully released. (The bracket will probably still be clipped onto your Transporter).
