How do you change spark plugs on a Renault scenic expression?

Tools Needed:

- Spark plug socket wrench

- Socket extension

- Torque wrench

- Gapping tool

- New spark plugs

Instructions:

1. Prepare your car.

Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent any electrical accidents.

2. Locate the spark plugs.

The spark plugs on your Renault Scenic Expression are located under the ignition coil. To access them, you’ll need to remove the ignition coil covers.

3. Remove the ignition coil covers.

The ignition coil covers are held in place by a few bolts. Use a wrench to loosen the bolts and remove the covers.

4. Remove the old spark plugs.

Use the spark plug socket wrench and extension to loosen and remove the old spark plugs. Be careful not to drop the spark plugs into the engine.

5. Inspect the spark plugs.

Examine the old spark plugs for signs of wear or damage. If the spark plugs are worn or damaged, replace them with new ones.

6. Gap the new spark plugs.

Use a gapping tool to set the gap between the spark plug’s center electrode and ground electrode. The correct gap is specified in your vehicle’s owner’s manual.

7. Install the new spark plugs.

Screw in the new spark plugs by hand until they are snug. Then, use the spark plug wrench to tighten the spark plugs to the specified torque.

8. Replace the ignition coil covers.

Replace the ignition coil covers and secure them with the bolts.

9. Reconnect the negative battery cable.

Reconnect the negative battery cable.

10. Test the engine.

Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. Listen for any unusual noises or check for any error lights on the dashboard. If everything seems fine, you have successfully replaced the spark plugs in your Renault Scenic Expression.
