Once you have gathered the necessary tools and materials, follow these steps to change the oil in your 1984 Goldwing:
1. Warm up the engine by running it for a few minutes. This will help to thin the oil and make it easier to drain.
2. Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down slightly.
3. Place the oil drain pan under the oil drain plug, which is located on the bottom of the engine.
4. Use the wrench to loosen the oil drain plug and allow the oil to drain into the pan.
5. While the oil is draining, replace the old oil filter with the new one. Be sure to lubricate the new filter's gasket with a little bit of new oil before installing it.
6. Once all of the oil has drained out, replace the oil drain plug and tighten it securely.
7. Use the funnel to add 3 quarts of new oil to the engine.
8. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. This will circulate the new oil throughout the engine.
9. Check the oil level using the dipstick. The oil level should be between the "full" and "add" marks on the dipstick.
That's it! You have now successfully changed the oil in your 1984 Goldwing.
