How do you set the timing on a grizzly 125 ATV?

To set the timing on a Grizzly 125 ATV, you will need the following tools:

* A spark plug wrench

* A flat-head screwdriver

* A feeler gauge

* A timing light

1. Remove the spark plug from the cylinder head.

2. Locate the timing hole on the right side of the cylinder head.

3. Insert the flat-head screwdriver into the timing hole and turn the crankshaft until the piston is at the top of the compression stroke.

4. The piston is at the top of the compression stroke when the screwdriver stops moving upwards.

5. Now insert the feeler gauge into the gap between the crankshaft and the flywheel. The feeler gauge should have a thickness of 0.10mm.

6. Adjust the crankshaft until the feeler gauge fits snugly between the crankshaft and the flywheel.

7. Tighten the crankshaft nut to secure the crankshaft in place.

8. Install the spark plug back into the cylinder head.

9. Connect the timing light to the spark plug wire.

10. Point the timing light at the timing mark on the flywheel.

11. Start the engine.

12. The timing mark should be aligned with the timing pointer on the stator cover.

13. If the timing mark is not aligned, adjust the crankshaft until it is.

14. Tighten the crankshaft nut to secure the crankshaft in place.

15. Disconnect the timing light.
