1. Open the hood: Locate the underhood fuse block. It's usually a large rectangular box, often black plastic, near the battery or firewall.
2. Consult your owner's manual: The owner's manual should have a diagram of the fuse block showing the location of the fuel pump relay. This is the best and most accurate way to find it.
3. Look for markings: The relay itself might be labeled "Fuel Pump" or have a similar designation. Some relays might be labeled with a number that corresponds to the fuel pump in the owner's manual's diagram.
4. Check common areas: If the diagram is unclear or you can't find it, relays are often near the ignition system components.
If you can't find it in the underhood fuse block, it's less common but possible that it's located in a secondary fuse box or module somewhere else under the dash or in the interior. However, the underhood fuse box is the far more likely location.
Important Note: Before working on any electrical components, always disconnect the negative terminal of your battery to prevent electrical shocks or short circuits.
