Where is the ignition coil located on a 2003 avalanche with 5.3L?
On a 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche with the 5.3L engine, the ignition coils are located on top of the engine, directly over the spark plugs. They're individual coils, one for each cylinder, and are usually fairly easy to spot. They'll be black rectangular or cylindrical components with wires running to both the spark plugs and the engine's computer.
