Where can you find the governor on a Dodge Ram gas engine?
The governor on a Dodge Ram's gas engine isn't a separate, easily identifiable physical component like it might be on older vehicles. Modern electronic engine control systems have replaced the mechanical governor. The function of a governor (controlling engine speed) is handled by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM), also known as the Engine Control Module (ECM). This is a computer located somewhere within the engine compartment, often near the firewall or under the dashboard. You won't find a "governor" to adjust.
