Where is the throttle body on 1996 ford explorer located?
On a 1996 Ford Explorer, the throttle body is located on the intake manifold, at the top of the engine, near the air filter housing. It's essentially where the air intake from the filter meets the engine. You'll see a large butterfly valve inside. However, exact positioning can vary slightly depending on the engine (4.0L OHV or 5.0L V8). To be sure, a visual inspection with reference to the air intake system is recommended.
