How do you replace a starter on 1991 Mazda mpv v-6 4wd?

Tools Needed:

* Wrench set

* Socket set

* Jack

* Jack stands

* Safety glasses

* Gloves

Instructions:

1.) Park your vehicle in a safe location and turn off the engine.

2.) Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

Jack up the front of your vehicle and support it with jack stands.

3.) Locate the starter motor.

- The starter motor is usually located on the driver's side of the engine, near the bottom.

4.) Remove the bolts that hold the starter motor in place.

- There are usually two or three bolts that hold the starter motor in place.

5.) Disconnect the electrical connections from the starter motor.

- There are usually two or three electrical connections that connect to the starter motor.

6.) Remove the starter motor from the vehicle.

7.) Install the new starter motor in the reverse order of removal.

8.) Reconnect the electrical connections to the starter motor.

9.) Reconnect the negative battery terminal.

10.) Lower your vehicle from the jack stands.

The starter motor should now be replaced. Test the starter motor by starting the engine. If the engine starts, the starter motor has been replaced successfully.
