What does the fuel solenoid do on a lawn tractor motor?
1. The fuel solenoid valve regulates the supply of fuel to the cylinder, allowing it to flow only when the engine is running.
2. Once ignition to the engine is started it allows electricity to the fuel solenoid allowing flow of fuel and when ignition turned off so does the solenoid thus turning off the gas supply. (safety measure.)
