To access the camshaft sensor, you will need to remove the upper timing chain cover.
Here are the steps on how to remove the upper timing chain cover:
1. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Remove the engine oil filler cap.
3. Remove the serpentine belt.
4. Remove the water pump pulley.
5. Remove the timing chain tensioner.
6. Remove the upper timing chain cover.
Once you have removed the upper timing chain cover, you will be able to see the camshaft sensor. It is a small, cylindrical sensor with a connector on one end.
To remove the camshaft sensor, simply disconnect the connector and unscrew the sensor from the cylinder head.
Be careful not to drop the camshaft sensor into the timing chain. If the sensor drops into the timing chain, it could cause damage to the engine.
