Instructions
1. Allow the engine to cool down completely.
2. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
3. Locate the thermostat housing. It is located on the front of the engine, just below the upper radiator hose.
4. Drain the coolant from the radiator by opening the drain cock at the bottom of the radiator.
5. Loosen the hose clamp on the upper radiator hose and remove the hose from the thermostat housing.
6. Remove the two bolts that hold the thermostat housing to the engine block.
7. Remove the thermostat housing from the engine block.
8. Clean the mating surface of the engine block and the thermostat housing.
9. Apply a thin bead of RTV silicone sealant to the mating surface of the engine block.
10. Install the new thermostat in the thermostat housing. Make sure that the thermostat is seated properly in the housing.
11. Install the thermostat housing on the engine block and secure it with the two bolts.
12. Reattach the upper radiator hose to the thermostat housing and tighten the hose clamp.
13. Fill the radiator with coolant.
14. Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
15. Start the engine and allow it to run for a few minutes. Check for any leaks.
