How do you troubleshoot fuel system on a Mercedes Benz 190E?

1. Check the fuel pressure.

- Locate the fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail.

- Disconnect the vacuum line from the pressure regulator.

- Start the engine and let it idle.

- Measure the fuel pressure with a fuel pressure gauge.

- The fuel pressure should be within specifications (2.0-2.5 bar).

2. Check the fuel injectors.

- Remove the fuel injector covers.

- Start the engine and let it idle.

- Listen for any ticking noises from the injectors.

- If you hear any ticking noises, the injectors may be faulty.

3. Check the fuel filter.

- Locate the fuel filter under the car.

- Remove the fuel filter and inspect it for dirt or debris.

- If the filter is dirty, replace it.

4. Check the fuel pump.

- Locate the fuel pump under the car.

- Remove the fuel line from the fuel pump.

- Start the engine and let it run for a few seconds.

- If you don't see any fuel coming out of the fuel line, the fuel pump may be faulty.

5. Check the fuel lines.

- Inspect the fuel lines for any leaks or cracks.

- If you find any leaks or cracks, replace the fuel lines.

If you have checked all of the above and you are still having fuel system problems, you should take your car to a qualified mechanic for further diagnosis.
