Engage the parking brake.
2. Locate the fuel filter.
The fuel filter is located under the vehicle, near the fuel tank. It is a cylindrical-shaped object with two fuel lines connected to it.
3. Disconnect the fuel lines from the fuel filter.
Use a wrench to loosen the fuel line nuts and then pull the fuel lines off of the fuel filter. Be careful not to spill any fuel.
4. Remove the fuel filter.
Use a wrench to loosen the fuel filter mounting bolt and then remove the fuel filter from the vehicle.
5. Install the new fuel filter.
Screw the new fuel filter onto the fuel filter mounting bolt and then tighten it with a wrench. Connect the fuel lines to the new fuel filter and tighten the fuel line nuts with a wrench.
6. Start the engine and check for leaks.
Look for any leaks around the fuel filter. If you see any leaks, tighten the fuel line nuts until the leaks stop.
