2. Open the hood of your vehicle and locate the battery.
3. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery.
4. Locate the starter motor on the passenger's side of the vehicle.
5. Remove the bolts holding the starter in place using a socket wrench.
6. Disconnect the electrical connector from the starter.
7. Remove the starter from the vehicle.
8. Transfer the starter to your workbench or other suitable work area.
9. Inspect the starter for signs of damage or wear and replace any damaged or worn parts as necessary.
10. Reassemble the starter in the reverse order of disassembly.
11. Reinstall the starter in the vehicle and reconnect the battery cable.
