1. Park your vehicle on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. Open the hood of your car.
3. Locate the oil filter housing. On the E320, it is located on the right (passenger) side of the engine, just behind the air filter box.
4. Place an oil drain pan under the oil filter housing.
5. Unscrew the oil filter housing cap by turning it counterclockwise.
6. Remove the old oil filter from the housing.
7. Apply a thin coat of new engine oil to the gasket of the new oil filter.
8. Screw the new oil filter into the housing until it is snug. Do not over-tighten the oil filter.
9. Replace the oil filter housing cap.
10. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. Check for any oil leaks from the oil filter housing.
