2. Engage the parking brake/parking brake.
3. Allow the engine to cool down.
4. Locate the oil drain plug.
5. Place an oil drain pan under the oil drain plug.
6. Loosen the oil drain plug.
7. Allow the oil to drain completely.
8. Once the oil has drained, replace the oil drain plug.
9. Locate the oil filter.
10. Remove the oil filter.
11. Clean the sealing surface of the oil filter housing.
12. Apply a thin film of new oil to the gasket of a new oil filter.
13. Screw a new oil filter into place.
14. Fill the engine with new oil.
15. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
16. Check the oil level and add more oil as needed.
