Instructions:
1.) Park your car in a level spot and turn off the engine. Allow it to cool down for at least 30 minutes.
2.) Open the hood of your car and locate the thermostat housing. It is usually a black or silver housing located near the top of the engine.
3.) Remove the electrical connector from the thermostat housing.
4.) Use the 10 mm socket to remove the two bolts holding the thermostat housing in place.
5.) Remove the thermostat housing and discard the old thermostat.
6.) Clean the thermostat housing with a shop rag.
7.) Apply a thin coat of sealant to the gasket. Place the gasket on the thermostat housing.
8.) Insert the new thermostat into the thermostat housing.
9.) Replace the thermostat housing and hand tighten it.
10.) Use the 13 mm socket to tighten the two bolts holding the thermostat housing in place.
11.) Reconnect the electrical connector to the thermostat housing.
12.) Fill the coolant reservoir with coolant.
13.) Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. Check for any leaks.
14.) Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down for a few minutes.
15.) Check the coolant level and add more if necessary.
Your thermostat has now been successfully replaced.
