1. A timing light
2. A wrench
3. A screwdriver
1. Connect the timing light to the battery and the engine.
2. Attach the timing light probe to the #1 spark plug wire or #6 distributor cap terminal, depending on your model.
3. Start the engine and let it warm up.
4. Turn on the timing light.
5. Use the wrench to loosen the distributor hold-down clamp.
6. Use the screwdriver to turn the distributor until the timing mark on the engine's harmonic balancer aligns with the "0" mark on the timing scale.
7. Tighten the distributor hold-down clamp.
The engine is now set at the correct timing.
