1. Park your car in a safe location and turn off the engine. Allow the headlights to cool down if they have been on.
2. Open the hood of your car. Refer to your vehicle's owner's manual for instructions on doing this.
3. Locate the headlight assembly. It is usually located behind the headlamp lens on the front of the vehicle.
4. Remove the headlight bulb cover. This is usually done by twisting it counterclockwise until it comes off.
5. Take out the old headlight bulb. Gently twist the bulb counterclockwise until it comes out of the socket.
6. Turn the new headlight bulb so that the flat side is facing up. The new bulb should have a tab that fits into a slot in the socket.
7. Place the new headlight bulb back into the socket. Gently twist the bulb clockwise until it is secure.
8. Replace the headlight bulb cover. Turn the cover clockwise until it is snug.
9. Close the hood of your car.
10. Repeat steps 3-9 for the other headlight.
Please note: Some European countries require headlights to be aimed down and to the left when driving on the left side of the road. Consult with your local vehicle authorities in the country you'll be driving in for any specific requirements. It is important to have the headlights properly aimed, both for safety and legal compliance. If you are uncomfortable performing this task on your own, have your headlights checked by a trusted mechanic or at a local garage.
