- For older models, particularly S60s built from 2000-2010 with five-cylinder engines, you can find the engine number on a metal tag attached to the front of the engine block, near the oil filter. The tag typically has the Volvo logo, engine code, and engine number engraved or stamped on it.
- For newer models, such as S60s built from 2011 onwards with four-cylinder engines, the engine number is usually found on a sticker located in the engine bay. The sticker may be on the strut tower, near the windshield washer fluid reservoir, or on the underside of the hood.
