1. Park your vehicle on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
2. Raise the vehicle off the ground using the floor jack until it is high enough to safely work underneath.
3. Locate the oil fill plug on the hydraulic pump of the floor jack. It is usually a small, black, or silver-colored plug located on the side or top of the pump.
4. Clean the area around the oil fill plug to prevent dirt or debris from entering the pump.
5. Remove the oil fill plug using a wrench or screwdriver.
6. Insert a funnel into the oil fill hole and slowly pour in new hydraulic fluid. The type of fluid required may be specified in the floor jack's owner's manual.
7. Continue adding fluid until it reaches the "full" mark on the dipstick or the fluid level indicator on the pump.
8. Replace the oil fill plug and wipe up any spilled fluid.
9. Lower the vehicle to the ground and test the floor jack to ensure it is working properly.
Note: It is important to check the hydraulic fluid level regularly and to replace the fluid as needed. Hydraulic fluid can deteriorate over time, which can lead to decreased performance or failure of the floor jack.
