Where is the engine air filter on a F150 1998 4.2 liter?

1998 Ford F-150 4.2L V6

1. Open the hood.

2. Locate the air cleaner housing. It is a black plastic box located on the passenger side of the engine compartment.

3. Loosen the wing nut on top of the air cleaner housing.

4. Remove the top of the air cleaner housing.

5. Remove the old air filter.

6. Install the new air filter.

7. Replace the top of the air cleaner housing.

8. Tighten the wing nut.

9. Close the hood.
