To reset the service engine light on a 1990 Cadillac Deville follow the steps given below:

1) Turn the ignition key to the “On” position, but do not start the car.

2) Press and hold the “Trip” button on the instrument panel until the odometer begins to flash.

3) While holding the “Trip” button down, turn the ignition key to the “Off” position and then back to the “On” position.

4) Release the “Trip” button.

5) The service engine light should now be reset
