Gather the necessary tools, including a Phillips screwdriver and a flathead screwdriver.
Open the hood of your vehicle and prop it open securely.
Locate the four plastic pegs that secure the engine cover to the engine bay. These pegs will be located on the underside of the cover, near the front of the engine.
Use the flathead screwdriver to pry up on the plastic pegs and release them from the engine bay.
Once all four pegs have been released, gently lift the engine cover up and off of the engine bay.
Set the engine cover aside in a safe place.
