The starter on a 1996 Mazda B3000 is located on the driver's side of the engine, near the bottom. It is a cylindrical-shaped component with two electrical terminals.

Instructions

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Locate the starter. It is positioned on the driver's side of the engine, near the bottom.

3. Disconnect the electrical terminals from the starter. Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry open the terminal connectors and then use pliers to remove the terminals.

8. Reconnect the negative battery cable.

Once the new starter is installed, you can start the engine and check that the starter is working properly.
