1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the front splash shield to access the starter.
3. Disconnect the electrical connections to the starter.
4. Place a transmission jack or block of wood under the transmission.
5. Remove the two bolts that hold the starter to the engine (one bolt on the top of the starter and the other bolt on the bottom).
6. Remove the bottom starter bolt slowly to prevent the starter from falling.
7. Remove the starter.
